Description
This beachside city also known as Donostia has much to offer, as the most prized Michelin stars in the world after Kyoto and one of Europe’s surf capitals. There is also a historical side to this town and a not less important one, to say the least. Pass the Basilica of Santa Maria del Coro, right next to the hillside of Mount Urgull. In the heart of the Parte Vieja, this is one of the most visited monuments in the city and was built in the 18th century over a romantic church. Marvel at the Good Shepherd of San Sebastian Cathedral, the largest church in the city. It was inaugurated in 1897 and was built in a neo-gothic style, but only designated as a cathedral in 1953. Notice the decorative elements such as the stained glass windows, gargoyles, pinnacles and all the stonework done in very soft sandstone.
Come to discover what else this city has to offer. You will be surprised on every corner, with beautiful squares, stunning façades and many stories that make San Sebastian come alive.
