Description
Meet your guide in San Sebastian and take a scenic train ride to Zarautz, enjoying coastal landscapes along the way.
Your local guide from Zarautz will introduce you to the town’s highlights, including a walk along the beach promenade and a visit to the farmer’s market, where you can sample homemade bread, local cheese, apple jelly, and cider. On Sundays, when the market is closed, pintxos and beer or award-winning ice cream in Getaria are offered instead.
Afterward, hike a section of the Way of St. James, finishing at a txakoli winery where you will taste three wines paired with pintxos featuring tuna, cheese, and salted anchovies from the village.
The tour concludes in Getaria, a coastal town known for its historical figures Juan Sebastián Elcano and Cristóbal Balenciaga. Wander medieval streets as your guide shares stories of the town’s heritage.
You may choose to return to San Sebastian by bus with your guide or stay in Getaria to explore independently. Note that the return bus ticket is not included in the price.
