Akelarre Spa

Akelarre Spa is an adults-only wellness space at Akelarre Hotel, set on the first floor with views towards the Cantabrian Sea. Located on Padre Orkolaga Ibilbidea in San Sebastián, the spa is designed around quiet relaxation, body treatments and water-based therapies rather than dining or entertainment.

The 800-square-metre facility brings together three treatment rooms, including one designed for two people, along with a sauna and a steam room. Its heated hydrotherapy pool includes a circuit of massage jets and waterfalls aimed at the back, offering a structured way to move from warm water therapy into a calmer period of rest.

The relaxation area completes the spa experience with loungers facing the sea and a selection of teas. The atmosphere is private and unhurried, making the spa suitable for adults seeking time away from the city, a restorative treatment or a peaceful wellness session during a hotel stay.

Treatments use products from Woods Copenhagen and Valmont. Woods Copenhagen provides plant-led skincare with a contemporary approach, while Valmont brings Swiss cosmetic treatments to the menu. The combination places skincare and personal care alongside the spa’s hydrotherapy facilities.

Akelarre Spa also connects with the hotel’s dedicated gym. The fitness room is equipped with Technogym machines, weights, a treadmill, a stationary bike, an elliptical trainer and a Kinesis wall system. Together, the spa and gym provide a broader wellness setting for adults looking to combine exercise, recovery and time overlooking the coast.
