Pensión Altair

Pensión Altair is a small guesthouse on Padre Larroca Kalea in San Sebastian, positioned between the city centre and the Zurriola area. Zurriola beach is around a five-minute walk away, while the Kursaal Congress Centre, San Ignacio Church, Tabakalera, the railway station and the bus station are also within walking distance. The Old Town, San Telmo Museum, Mount Urgull and the city’s restaurant and nightlife areas can be reached on foot, making the pension suitable for short urban breaks, cultural visits and stays connected to the beach.

The interior has a quiet, carefully maintained character, with each room individually decorated in soft tones. Four rooms feature exterior windows framed by stone Gothic-style arches, adding a distinctive architectural detail to the accommodation. The pension has eight rooms in total, including seven doubles and one single room. A separate apartment for two to four people is also available.

All rooms have a private bathroom, a desk, a flat-screen television, Wi-Fi and a safe large enough for a standard laptop. The bathrooms are fully equipped, and an elevator serving up to four people provides access to the rooms. One room is adapted for guests with physical disabilities. A shared area also contains a desktop computer with an internet connection, available at no additional charge.

Pensión Altair provides room service and offers an auto check-in arrangement alongside its reception service. The property is designed for guests who value a central, walkable base with practical facilities rather than a resort-style setting. Its location works particularly well for visitors combining beach time, surfing, food-focused evenings, museums and transport connections. Surf schools are approximately 150 metres away, while the Kursaal is around 300 metres from the pension.

The accommodation does not permit pets and maintains a non-smoking policy. With double rooms, a single room and an apartment for up to four people, it can accommodate solo travellers, couples and small parties seeking an independent place to stay close to San Sebastian’s main areas.
