Description
'This isn't just a tour — it's San Sebastián through the eyes of those who call it home'
Meet your guide next to the statue of Don Quixote and Sancho in Cervantes Square to start your walking tour through the historic center of San Sebastián. Begin at Paseo de la Concha to admire one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world, known for its incredible views and characteristic railing.
Your first stop will be the Alderdi Eder Gardens to discover the Town Hall, initially built to house the Grand Casino of the city. Admiring it is like traveling back in time to the Belle Èpoque.
Next, arrive at Plaza Guipuzcoa, which houses the headquarters of the provincial government. Then, walk through Alameda del Boulevard, the shopping area that serves as a connection between the old and the new part of Donostia.
Head into Plaza de la Constitución to talk about the Tamborrada, while the beauty of its colorful balconies leaves you speechless. See wonderful buildings such as the Church of San Vicente, the oldest monument in San Sebastián.
Walk through the streets where pintxo bars are the main focus. Discover how Donosti is the cradle of this culinary art and learn why it has been chosen as the best gastronomic destination in the world.
Wander through the cobbled streets of “the old” (as the locals call the historic center of the city) until you reach the baroque Basilica of Santa María del Coro. Finish your tour at the Port of Donosti with a panoramic view of the Cantabrian Sea.
At the end of the experience, you'll pay the guide based on what you think the experience was worth. Tips usually range from €10 to €20.
